March Events in Review: Networking, Learning, and Innovation

March was an incredibly busy month for Clece Care Services (CCS), with our teams attending multiple high-profile events across the UK. From prestigious award celebrations and industry-leading conferences to exploring advancements in employee wellbeing, technology, and facilities management, our presence at these events underscores our ongoing commitment to sector leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Here’s a look back at the impactful events we attended this month:

LaingBuisson Awards Winners’ Lunch at Coutts

Earlier this month, CCS was honoured to attend an exclusive LaingBuisson Awards Winners’ Lunch at the prestigious Coutts in London. This invitation-only event celebrated organisations and individuals making a positive impact across the health and social care sector.

Representing Clece Care Services were Luke House, Head of Business Development, and Lois Adamson, Head of Marketing and Digital Communications, who spent the afternoon networking with influential sector leaders, sharing insights, and celebrating success within the industry.

Health and Wellbeing @ Work Conference – NEC Birmingham

Our Group Health and Safety Lead, Iheoma Ali, represented CCS at the Health and Wellbeing @ Work Conference, the UK’s leading event focused on improving workplace health, wellbeing, and inclusivity.

Iheoma attended several powerful and insightful sessions, including:
• DEI at a Crossroads
A fireside chat exploring the changing landscape of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. The session delved into the impact of evolving policy, strategies for sustainable DEI practices, and how organisations can remain inclusive in the face of change.
• The Neurodivergent Experience at Work
This workshop focused on supporting neurodivergent employees, with practical strategies to foster engagement, improve retention, and enhance productivity.
• Bereavement Support and Wellbeing in the Workplace
A timely session highlighting the importance of bereavement-aware cultures and how to effectively support colleagues experiencing loss.

At CCS, we are committed to creating a supportive work environment for every member of our team. We offer free counselling through our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and have trained mental health first aiders across our teams. Events like this reinforce our approach and help us bring fresh thinking into our wellbeing initiatives.

UK Care Week – NEC Birmingham

CCS also participated in UK Care Week, one of the key events on the social care calendar, bringing together care providers, suppliers, and professionals to explore the sector’s most pressing challenges and exciting innovations.

Our team attended several thought-provoking sessions, including:
• Care Career Pathways
This session highlighted the importance of clear, structured career progression to improve recruitment and retention within the care sector.
• Tech-Driven Retention
Discussions focused on how innovative digital tools can support care professionals by easing operational pressures and improving staff satisfaction.
• What is the Solution to Our Domestic Workforce Crisis?
A standout panel discussion featuring voices from The Care Workers’ Charity and Skills for Care, exploring actionable solutions for addressing workforce shortages.

These conversations directly align with CCS’s own goals of improving staff experiences and strengthening workforce resilience across our services.

The Cleaning Show – ExCel London

This month also marked an exciting moment for our CK Group – comprising CK Consumables Ltd and CK Facilities Management Ltd – who attended The Cleaning Show at ExCel London.

As CCS expands into facilities management and consumables, this event was a key opportunity to explore the latest innovations in professional cleaning across healthcare, commercial, and public spaces.

Our CK team connected with new and existing clients, learned about advancements in sustainability and hygiene technologies, and identified ways to further elevate the quality and efficiency of services across our growing portfolio.

Looking Ahead

As a national provider of care and support services, Clece Care Services continues to place learning, collaboration, and innovation at the heart of everything we do. Attending events like these keeps us at the forefront of sector developments — and ensures that the people we support, and those we employ, benefit from best-in-class thinking and practices.

We are proud of our colleagues who represented CCS so passionately across these events and look forward to applying the insights gained to drive continued improvement across our services.
