Exclusive: CCS are finalists at the LaingBuisson Awards!

In ever-evolving world of healthcare, recognition at prestigious industry events is not just a testament to an organisation’s quality of service, but also to the dedication, passion, and innovation of its people. Clece Care Services is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted for four awards at the highly regarded LaingBuisson Awards.

The LaingBuisson Awards celebrate the very best in health and social care across the UK. They are a symbol of distinction, recognising organisations and individuals who have gone above and beyond to deliver outstanding care and support. For Clece Care Services, being shortlisted in four categories is not just an honour but also a validation of our core values and mission.

Excellence in Training: Call In Homecare & Ailsa Care

Training and development are the bedrock of any successful care service. They ensure that staff are not only equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge but also motivated to provide the highest level of care. This year, Clece Care Services Scotland Team are thrilled to have been nominated for the Excellence in Training award.

Call-In and Ailsa’s learning and development team have been instrumental in creating tailored training programs that go beyond the basic requirements. Their innovative approach includes comprehensive modules that cover not only the practical aspects of care but also the emotional intelligence needed to support clients with compassion and understanding.

The training provided is holistic, incorporating the latest in care methodologies and fostering a culture of continuous learning. This nomination is a recognition of their outstanding contribution to the field, setting a benchmark for excellence in training across the industry.

Excellence in Homecare: Edinburgh North, Call-In Homecare

Homecare is at the heart of what Clece Care Services does, and our Edinburgh North branch of Call-In Homecare has been recognised for this. This acknowledgment underscores the team’s commitment to providing personalised, high-quality care that enables service users to live independently and with dignity in their own homes.

The Edinburgh North branch has consistently delivered services that are not only efficient and effective but also compassionate and client-centered. Their approach is built on understanding each client’s unique needs and preferences, ensuring that care plans are tailored to support their individual goals. This has not only improved the quality of life for clients but has also fostered strong, trusting relationships between carers and those they support.

The nomination for Excellence in Homecare is a testament to the dedication of the Edinburgh North team, who continuously strive to exceed expectations and set new standards in homecare delivery. Their work exemplifies the core values of Clece Care Services, where the focus is always on enhancing the well-being of clients through respectful, empathetic, and high-quality care.

Rising Star: Scott Higgins-Wright, Universal Care Services

Recognising talent is essential for the ongoing success and innovation within the healthcare sector. The Rising Star category at the LaingBuisson Awards highlights individuals who have shown exceptional promise early in their careers. This year, our Regional Director for the Midlands Scott Higgins-Wright has been shortlisted for this prestigious accolade.

Scott’s journey in the care industry is a story of passion, dedication, and remarkable achievement. Since joining Universal Care Services, Scott has demonstrated a deep commitment to his role, quickly becoming a leader of hundreds of colleagues. His ability to connect with clients and colleagues alike, combined with his innovative approach to leading care, has set him apart as a true rising star. Colleagues of Scott shared:

“He is not only always supportive and motivating, but also consistently maintains a calm demeanour. His unwavering dedication to helping others and guiding them towards the right path is truly commendable. With a remarkable amount of patience, he excels in his work, making him the epitome of excellence as a leader.”

“He is just the best, always there when needed and nothing is too much trouble, he will also support and direct you in the right way.”

Rising Star: Sarah Conner, Lauirem Complete Care

Another shining example of emerging talent within Clece Care Services is Sarah Conner from Lauirem Complete Care. She has an unparalleled commitment to quality, compliance and team development. She joined us as a Care Worker in 2018 and in just 6 years has progressed to Registered Manager, with achievements like reducing staff turnover from 47% to a mere 9% through her inspirational leadership and commitment to our values.

Sarah has quickly distinguished herself through her empathy, professionalism, and innovative thinking. Her approach to care is both compassionate and holistic, ensuring that every member of her team receives the support they need to thrive. She has been instrumental in implementing new care strategies within Lauirem Complete Care, which have significantly improved client outcomes.

Latasha Winestone, Regional Director, said, “She is not phased by anything. She doesn’t crack. She always comes in with the same mentality. She always has a positive attitude. She never conveys concerns to the rest of team and this is so important. It’s such a difficult thing to do. We come in having a bad day and it’s plastered all over our faces but for Sarah it’s difficult to make her crack.”

Regardless of the outcome at the LaingBuisson Awards, we are immensely proud of our nominees and their achievements. They embody the values of Clece Care Services, and we are honoured to have them as part of our team. We look forward to the awards ceremony on 21st November and to continuing our mission of delivering outstanding care across the UK.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey with us, and congratulations to all our nominees!
