Last week, teams from across Clece Care Services made their way to Birmingham to attend the prestigious 2025 Home Care Awards – a major industry event recognising excellence, innovation, and dedication in the home care sector.

We’re proud to share that Clece Care Services was shortlisted as a finalist in four national award categories, reflecting the exceptional work taking place across our teams. This recognition alone is a huge achievement and a testament to the passion and commitment of our staff across the country.

A Win for Liverpool: End of Life / Palliative Care Award

A huge congratulations goes to our North West team at Homecarers Care Services – Liverpool, who took home the Highly Commended ‘End of Life / Palliative Care Award’.

This award honours the incredible work being done through the STARs service, a compassionate partnership with Marie Curie. Operating in the Liverpool City Region since 2017, STARs provides person-centred palliative care at home, helping people spend their final days in comfort and dignity.

To date, the team has supported more than 1,500 service users, with 95% discharged from hospital within 24 hours, allowing for quicker access to personalised care at home. Not only has this improved the quality of end-of-life care, but it’s also led to an estimated £150,000 in annual savings for the NHS.

Their commitment, compassion, and professionalism make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Recognition for Innovation: Universal Care Services in the Midlands

We’d also like to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our Midlands team at Universal Care Services, who were shortlisted for two prestigious awards recognising their excellence and innovative use of technology in care delivery.

Their forward-thinking approach has led to real-time improvements in communication, service efficiency, and the overall experience of both service users and staff. Through the strategic implementation of digital tools and data-driven systems, they’ve demonstrated how technology can enhance rather than replace the human touch at the heart of care.

Being recognised at a national level for this work is a huge accomplishment, and a reflection of the passion the team brings to driving quality and progress in the sector.
