Clece Care Services had the pleasure of attending the Royal Voluntary Service’s (RVS) ‘Festive Spread’ event at The Amadeus in London. This wonderful gathering brought together key stakeholders to celebrate the incredible work of the RVS and their dedicated volunteer network, which operates tirelessly across the United Kingdom.
The highlight of the afternoon was the presence of Her Majesty The Queen Camilla, the patron of RVS. Her Majesty added a touch of royal flair to the event by successfully helping flambé a giant 22lb figgy pudding, much to the delight of all attendees. Her involvement underscored the importance of the RVS’s mission and the festive spirit of the occasion.
Our Head of Marketing, Lois Adamson, and Marketing and Social Value Lead (London), Maryan Hassan, represented Clece Care Services at the event. They had a fantastic time meeting the RVS team and learning more about the invaluable services they provide. The afternoon was filled with engaging conversations, delicious food, and a shared commitment to supporting communities across the UK.
The Royal Voluntary Service is one of Britain’s largest volunteering organisations, providing vital, responsive services that support public health, social care, and wellbeing. Their volunteers work with healthcare teams and in communities, offering practical help and emotional support to those in need. From bringing people home from hospital to running home libraries and providing companionship, the RVS promotes better health, social interaction, and connection, relieving pressure on the NHS and care systems.
