With 7,000 colleagues and 12,000 service users, Clece Care Services (CCS) are a leading UK Care at Home Provider. We are proud to announce our Social Value Quality Mark (SVQM) progress. This work underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care while making a tangible positive impact on society. CCS are calling on other providers to engage with SVQM to highlight a sector-wide dedication to the profound influence we exert on a wide range of stakeholders, including our employees, service users, local communities, businesses, and the environment at large.
The social value strategy sets our obligations and opportunities. Furthermore, it is responsive to the Central Government updated Public Procurement Notice 6/20[1] and 11/20[2]. This strategy will align with and complement with existing policies and strategies. It will further align with the emerging ISO Social Value standard (BS8950)[3] and the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals and the 2020[4] Transforming Public Procurement Green Paper[5], that proposes the UK’s procurement reforms post Brexit.
At CCS, our social value pledges reflect the holistic approach to delivering services across 6 areas: Economic, Health and Wellbeing, Education and Skills, Social and Community, Employment and Volunteering, and Environmental:
- Economic – We pledge to support our local people, businesses, and communities to thrive through our employment and localised services.
- Health and Wellbeing – We pledge to play a proactive role in supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of our staff, service users and communities.
- Education and Skills – We pledge to continuous training and improvement that supports our staff and communities to deliver quality services.
- Social and Community – We pledge to take an active role in building resilient and inclusive communities.
- Employment and Volunteering – We pledge to create and sustain jobs for local people, inspiring them give back to their communities through volunteering.
- Environmental – We pledge to increase our sustainability and have a positive role in caring for our natural resources
By focusing our resources and investments on these areas, we aim to nurture thriving communities, promote wellbeing, foster education and skills development, build resilient and inclusive societies, create meaningful employment opportunities, and safeguard our planet for future generations. These pledges are not just promises; they are actionable commitments that inform our service delivery, ensuring that every action we take contributes positively to the lives of those we touch.
We believe it is imperative that care providers stand untied to prioritise the wellbeing and development of all persons. SVQM is a key testament in this, highlighting a dedication to providing care that not only meets the highest quality standards but also enriches lives and communities. Our responsibility extends beyond the immediate needs of our service users to encompass a broader commitment to social value in the communities we operate within. By collectively doing so, we will set a new standard for care that is compassionate, inclusive, and socially responsible.
